This accessibility statement applies to learn.capsule.ac.uk and related mobile apps.

This website is run by Ocasta Studios Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts

  • Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen

  • Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard

  • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software

  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Some images and video do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (non text content). 

Our mobile apps may have some issues with empty section headings, not reporting what case filters have been applied and unclear labels on switches.

Disproportionate burden

No areas of the web site have yet been identified that would be a disproportionate burden to remedy for accessibility.

As the web site is reviewed this section will be updated if required.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs and other documents

The web site does not currently make use of Word or PDF documents.Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.

Live video

We do not plan to support live video streams on this web site, however live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Our web site and mobile apps have been replaced with updated versions for August 2021 and a considerable effort has ben made to improve accessibility. We can also address issues with content accessibility to our editors. Please report any continuing accessibility issues to us so these can be addressed.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This website was last tested in July 2021. Testing was carried out by internal staff sampling an indicative range of web pages.

Mobile apps were tested in July 2021 on an upcoming release, navigating through the app using a range of integrated Android and iOS accessibility aids.
